Prepare the printer

  1. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the ON lamp flashes.
  2. Press the Color button, then the Wi-Fi button.
  3. Make sure that the Wi-Fi lamp flashes quickly and the ON lamp is lit.
  4. When the Wi-Fi lamp flashes quickly, the printer is ready to receive information from the wireless network.

Set up the Computer

Follow these steps to set up the computer to communicate wirelessly with the printer.

  1. Download the software for your PC here.
  2. Open the file when the download has finished. If you are asked to provide permission to run the file, select Yes or the
    appropriate affirmative option.
  3. Select Start Setup.
  4. When this screen appears, select your place of residence, then select Next.
  5. Read the License Agreement, then select Yes to proceed. If you select No, the installation will not proceed.

  12.  If your printer is not detected, make sure that the computer has reconnected to the correct network.
You may need to temporarily disable any firewall software, or you may need to open
    blocked ports in the firewall.
If your PC is connected to a VPN (Virtual Private Network), temporarily disconnect from the VPN and try the setup again.
Also, if you are using a dual-band router, further troubleshooting information can be found
    here.
  13. The connection is completed. Select Next.
  14. After the MP Drivers for the printer have been downloaded and installed (this may take several minutes),
the Print Head Alignment Recommended screen will appear. Select Next.
  15. Select Execute to perform a test print, if desired. To skip this, select Next.
  16. Select Next.
  17. Place a check in the boxes for any software you would like to install. Select Next to proceed.
If you do not want any of the software in this list, select Clear All, then select Next.
If you chose any software in the list, it will be downloaded and installed. This may take several minutes.
