Wireless Setup


As an alternative to other setup methods, the wireless connection can be established by temporarily connecting a USB cable between the computer and MX922 Printer.  Follow the steps below:
  1. In the Drivers download page, download  the CUPS Driver and Scanner Driver for your operating system.  In Software, download the Canon IJ Network Tool.
     
  2. Install the files
     
    1. Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.

  3. Double-click the mounted Disk Image.

  • Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
 
  • Connect a USB cable between the computer and printer.  Make sure the printer is powered on.

     
  • Start the Network tool (Applications->Canon Utilities->IJ Network Tool->Canon IJ Network Tool)


     
  • Select Setup in the dropdown list.


     
  • Select MX920 series with USB in Connected to.  Click OK


     
  • Select Wireless LAN.  Click OK


     
  • If the Confirm Connection Wireless Router screen appears, click Yes.


     
  • Click OK


     
  • Select Canon MX920 series with Canon IJ Network in the Kind column.  Click Add.


     
  • Disconnect the USB cable.

    Setup is complete.
