The PIXMA TS8220 printer must be connected to the wireless network to print or scan wirelessly, and the correct drivers and software must be installed on the computer.

The setup process consists of 2 parts:

  1. Starting Easy Wireless Connect on the printer.
  2. Download and run the setup file.

1. Start Easy Wireless Connect on the printer

  1. Tap  Wireless connect (A).

    HOME screen: Select Wireless connect

  2. Tap Yes.

    Easy wireless connect screen: Select Yes

  3. When the printer is ready, the screen below appears.

    It may take time until the screen changes.

    Easy wireless connect screen: Follow the instructions on the computer or smartphone, etc. to perform the operation.



2. Download and run the setup file

Click the link to Get the Setup File, identify the file compatible with your computer's operating system and click the   Setup icon  to initiate installation.  Double-click the downloaded .dmg file if the setup icon does not appear.  Once you download the files you can follow the steps below to complete the setup process.

 If you see a message like this:

Select OK. Then, control-click on the setup file, select Open, then select Open in the error message window. This will allow the setup program to proceed. 

  1. Click Next.

    Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed with the setup program

  2. Enter the network password and click Install Helper.

    Enter your user name and password for the computer, then click Install Helper (outlined in red)

  3. Click Start Setup.

    Click Start Setup (outlined in red) to begin the setup program

  4. Click Next.

    Before You Continue screen: Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

  5. Select region and click Next.

    Select your country or region, then click Next (outlined in red)

  6. Click Yes on the License Agreement.

    Read the license agreement, then click Yes (outlined in red) to proceed

  7. Click Yes on the Connection Method screen.

    Make sure your printer appears in this screen, then click Yes (outlined in red) to proceed

  8. Click Add Printer.

    Add Printer screen: Click Add Printer (outlined in red)

  9. Select your printer series with Bonjour Multifunction listed in the Kind column and click Add.

  10. Click Next.

  11. Click Next.

    Test Print screen: Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

  12. Click Next on Setup Complete.

    Setup Complete screen: Click Next (outlined in red)

  13. Select any optional software you wish to install and click Next.

    Software Installation List: Select any software you want to install, then click Next (outlined in red)

  14. Click Next.

    You Can Print from a Smartphone or Tablet screen: Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

  15. Select to either register the printer or Skip.

    Printer Registration screen: Click Skip or Register Now (outlined in red)

  16. Select whether or not to create a shortcut to the online manual and click Next.

    Choose whether or not to create a shortcut for the online manual, then click Next (outlined in red)

  17. Click Exit.

    Installation completed successfully. Click Exit (outlined in red) to proceed
