Before You Begin

 The Easy wireless connect process only needs to be performed when connecting the printer to a wireless network for the first time. When setting up additional computers to work with the printer, select the printer from the list displayed on the screen during the install process, select Next, then continue from step 7.

Easy Wireless Setup Process - Windows

To be able to use your printer wirelessly on a Windows PC, the printer must first be connected to the wireless network. Then, software needs to be installed on the computer. The instructions / screenshots below show the setup program steps when using the Easy wireless connect method to connect to the wireless network.

The setup process consists of 2 parts: 

  1. Starting Easy wireless connect on the printer, and

  2. Downloading and running the setup file to install the software.

Start Easy wireless connect on the printer

Prior to starting setup on the computer, start Easy wireless connect on the printer. Then complete the setup on the computer. 
See the procedure below to start Easy wireless connect.

  1. Press and hold the button below the wireless connect  Wireless connect symbol on the operation panel until the following appears on the screen.

Download and run the setup file.*

Get the Setup File

After downloading the setup file, open it. If you're prompted to provide permission to open the file, select Open or the appropriate affirmative option.

  1. Select your language, then click OK.

  2. Select your place of residence, then click OK.

  3. Select Start Setup.

    The installer will check for the latest information related to your printer.

  4. Read the license agreement. Select Yes to proceed.  If you select No, the installation will not proceed.

  5. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the information request.

    This message appears if you selected Do not agree. Click OK to proceed.

  6. After processing for a few moments, the installer will display the following message. Select Next.

    Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

    The installer will search for the printer.

  7. The installer will ask you to confirm that you want to connect the printer to your wireless router. Select Connect.

  8. The computer will communicate with the printer. Please wait.

    After a few moments, the connection will be completed.

     If your printer is not detected, make sure that the computer has reconnected to the correct network. Also, you may need to temporarily disable any firewall software, or you may need to open blocked ports in the firewall. If your PC is connected to a VPN (Virtual Private Network), temporarily disconnect from the VPN and try the setup again. Also, if you are using a dual-band router, further troubleshooting information can be found here.

  9. The installer will download the software and drivers.

  10. The printer will be registered into your computer. Please wait.

  11. When the Print Head Alignment Recommended screen appears, select Next.

    Select Next (outlined in red)

  12. After processing for a few moments, the following screen will appear. Select Next. If you want to print a test page, select Test Print.

    Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

  13. Select Go to Website. The installer will close.
