Use Easy wireless connect to establish the printer's wireless connection to your network.

Solution

Before Starting

If the printer is already connected to a wireless network, you do not have to place the printer into Easy wireless connect mode. Click here if the printer is already connected to your wireless network.

 

Wireless Setup - macOS

To be able to use your printer wirelessly on a Mac, the printer must first be connected to the wireless network. Then, software needs to be installed on the computer. The instructions / screenshots below show the setup program steps when using the Easy wireless connect method to connect to the wireless network.

The setup process consists of 2 parts: 

  1. Starting Easy wireless connect on the printer, and

  2. Downloading and running the setup file to install the software.

Start Easy wireless connect on the printer

Prior to starting setup on the computer, start Easy wireless connect on the printer. Then complete the setup on the computer. 
See the procedure below to start Easy wireless connect.

  1. On the printer's HOME screen, select LAN settings, then press the OK button.

  2. Wi-Fi will be selected. Press the OK button.

  3. The Wi-Fi setting list will be shown. Press the OK button.

  4. Select Wi-Fi setup, then press the OK button.

  5. Easy wireless connect will be selected. Press the OK button.

  6. The message Connect to a computer or smartphone. Please confirm. will appear. Press the OK button.

    When the following message appears, the printer is ready to receive the information it needs to connect to your wireless network.

    Proceed with the computer setup.

     

Download and run the setup file.

Get the setup file

After downloading the setup file, open it, then double-click on the Master Setup icon.

If you are prompted to open this, select Open or the appropriate affirmative option.

Enter your user name and password in the fields provided then select Install Helper.

  1. Select Start Setup on the first screen.

    Click Start Setup (outlined in red)

    The installer will check for the latest information related to your printer.

  2. When this screen appears, you must agree to the License Agreement. Please note that you can choose to agree to the requests to collect information, but you are not required to. Select Next to proceed.

  3. After processing for a few moments, the installer will display the following message. Select Next.

    Click Yes (outlined in red) to proceed

    The installer will search for the printer.

  4. Your printer and the last five characters of its serial number will be shown. Select Connect.

    You may see the following message. If so, click OK.

  5. If prompted, enter your user name and password for your computer, then select Allow.

    After a few moments, the printer will be connected to the network.

    The installer will download software, then process for a few moments.

  6. When the Add Printer screen appears, select Add Printer.

  7. Select your printer from the list. Then, for Use:, choose Select Software....

  8. Choose the printer, then click OK.

  9. When the Add Printer dialog, reappears, select Add.

  10. Select Next.

  11. When the following screen appears, select Next.

  12. Select Go to Website. The installer will close.
