This article explains how to enable or toggle the options for TX reports on the PIXMA MX490 / MX492.

 

Solution

Your PIXMA MX490 / MX492 can print a report after a fax has been transmitted.  It can be set to print such a report after every transmission regardless of success or failure, failure only, or it can be set to not print a report at all.  Follow the steps below to enable or toggle the option for this report.
 
  1. Press the Setup  button.
     
  2. Press the right arrow  until Fax settings appears on the LCD, then press the OK button.
     
  3. Press the right arrow  until Auto print settings appears on the LCD, then press the OK button.
     
  4. Press the right arrow  until TX report appears on the LCD, then press the OK button.
     
  5. Use the left  and right arrow  buttons to select from one of the following options:
     
  • Print for each TX: This option will cause your PIXMA MX490 / MX492 to print out a report after every transmission, regardless of if the fax was successfully sent or if it failed to send.
     
  • Print error only: This option will cause your PIXMA MX490 / MX492 to print out a report after a fax was not successfully transmitted.
     
  • Do not print: If this option is selected, your PIXMA MX490 / MX492 will not print a TX report after a transmission regardless of if it was successful or not.
