Installing the printer driver in Windows VISTA using USB
Make sure that the printer USB cable is not connected to the computer until all of these steps have been completed.
- Download the printer driver file from our website ("MF6500_UFR_II_PrtDriver_Win_EN.exe").
- Double-click on the file and it will self- extract the necessary files to a folder on the desktop.
- Double-click on the newly created folder ("MF6500_UFR_II_PrtDriver_Win_EN") to open the folder.
- Double-click on the "Setup" application file to begin the installation.

If UAC (User Account Control) is turned on, a warning screen will pop-up.

Click <Allow>. The MF6500 welcome screen will appear. Click <Next>.

The "License Agreement" window will pop-up. After reading the agreement thoroughly, and if you agree, click <Yes>.
Note: If you do not agree with the "License Agreement" and select <No>, the driver will not install.

An error window will pop-up stating that the computer is not assigned with a valid IP address. Click <OK>.

Another window will be displayed indicating that the installation was interrupted. Click <Exit>.

A "Program Compatibilty Assistant" window will pop-up. Click <Reinstall using recommended settings>.

Repeat steps 3 through 7 again.

This time, after selecting <Yes> in the License Agreement, a window will pop-up allowing you to choose the connection type. Select <USB> and then click <Next>.

A window will pop-up stating that it is copying the driver files.

Once the files have been copied and installed, the Installation Complete window will appear. Click <Exit>.

Plug in the USB cable to the printer and to the computer to complete the driver installation.
