Description

This article explains how you can update the firmware from the operation panel of your MAXIFY printer.

Solution

Occasionally, your MAXIFY printer will display a notification regarding a firmware update. Follow the steps below to update the firmware for your printer.

Note

Your printer must be connected to a network that can access the internet in order to update the firmware from the operation panel.

From the HOME screen, press the Setup button.
From the Setup menu, press the right arrow until Device settings appears. Press OK.
From the Device settings menu, press the right arrow until Firmware update appears. Press OK.
Install update will appear. Press OK.

The printer will communicate with the server with the updated firmware.
A message on the LCD will indicate that the latest firmware is available. Press OK.
You will see another message showing what the firmware version number will be after the update has been applied. Press OK.
You will be asked if you want to update the firmware. Press the left arrow to select Yes and press OK.
A message on the LCD will indicate to leave the printer plugged in until the update is complete. Press OK.
The printer will shut down and the firmware update will begin. Do not unplug the printer.

The printer will power off and then back on. A message will show that the update has succeeded. Press OK.
