Solution

Procedure for using the optional AC adapter ACK800-PowerShot A700

It is best to power the camera with AC Adapter Kit ACK800 (sold separately) when you are using it for long periods of time or connecting it to a computer.

  • Turn the camera power off before connecting or disconnecting the AC adapter.
1. Connect the power cord to the compact power adapter first and then plug the other end into the power outlet.
2. Open the terminal cover and attach the cord to the DC IN terminal.

  • Disconnect the battery charger and compact power adapter from the camera and the power outlet after recharging or when not in use to avoid fire and other hazards.
  • The compact power adapter is designed for exclusive use with this camera. Do not use it with other products.
    • There is a risk of overheating and distortion which could result in fire or electrical shock.
  • Ensure that the battery charger or the compact power adapter is plugged into a power outlet of the specified rating, not over the specified rating. Do not use if the power cord or plug is damaged, or if not fully plugged into the outlet.
  • If condensation forms inside the camera, stop using the camera immediately. Continued use may damage the equipment. Remove the memory card and batteries or compact power adapter from the camera and wait until the moisture evaporates completely before resuming use.
