Solution

Borderless Copy

The edges of an image extend off the paper slightly in borderless copy. Adjust the amount to be cut off according to the image size.

  1. Prepare for copying.

  1. Turn on the machine.

  2. Press the <COPY> button.

  3. Load the original face down on the platen glass.

  4. Align the document with the alignment mark (shown as the arrow) on the upper right corner of the platen glass.

  1. Load the appropriate paper in the rear tray with the short-side down.

  2. Press the <Settings> button for the paper settings.

    The following page sizes and media types are usable for Borderless copy.
    Page size : A4 / 4" x 6" / 5" x 7" / CREDIT CARD SIZE / 8.5" x 11"
    Media type : PHOTO PAPER PLUS / MATT PHOTO PAPR / GLOSSY / PHOTO PAPER PRO

  1. Use the right/left cursor button to select the page size and press the <OK> button.

  2. Use the right/left cursor button to select the media type and press the <OK> button.

  1. Press the <Menu> button. SPECIAL COPY is displayed.

Note:

To cancel Special copy settings, press the <Stop/Reset> button in the SPECIAL COPY menu.

If the number of copies or the intensity has been set already, press the <Stop/Reset> button twice.

  1. Press the or button to select BORDERLESS COPY, then press the <OK> button.

    If a media type setting is selected that cannot be used in borderless copying, the LCD displays the following message.


  2. Press the or button to select the page size, then press the <OK> button.

    8.5x11 / A4 / 4x6 / 5x7 / C-CARD

  3. Press the or button to select the media type, then press the OK button.
    PHOTO PRO / PHOTO PLUS / MATT PHOTO / GLOSSY

  1. Press the or button, or the numeric buttons to specify the number of copies.

  2. Adjust the settings for your document as necessary.

  3. Press the <Color> button for color copying, or press the <Black> button for black & white copying.

Note:

Slight cropping may occur at the edges since the copied image is enlarged to fill the whole page.

You can change the width to be cropped from the borders of the original image as needed.
