Description

If you experience support codes 2110, 2113, or 2114 when attempting to print from a Mac or mobile device, the printer has detected that the loaded paper is different than the paper specified on the printer.  This article will show you how to disable this function.

Solution

If you encounter the support codes 2110, 2113, or 2114 when attempting to print, this is because the paper loaded into the printer is different from what is registered (specified) on the machine.  This function can be toggled from your Mac or a mobile device by following the steps below.

  1. Print a network configuration page (also known as a LAN details page) for your printer.  Click here to select your printer.

  2. From a web browser on a computer or mobile device, enter the printer's IPv4 address into the address bar.

NOTE: If you have your printer registered with Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY on an iOS or Android device, you can access the Remote UI by tapping on the name of your printer at the top of the main screen, then tapping Printer Information.

  3. You may need to sign into your printer's Remote UI.  If this is required, click or tap Log in.  You may be required to enter a password for your printer.  Click here for more information.

  4. After signing into the Remote UI, click or tap on Device settings.

  5. Click or tap on Custom settings.

  6. If Detect paper setting mismatch is enabled (checked), the printer will display the support code 2110, 2113, or 2114 if paper other than what is specified on the printer is loaded.

If this option is disabled (not checked), these errors will not appear.  However, this can cause misprints to occur if the paper loaded into the printer does not match the settings specified when printing from a computer or mobile device.

    Click OK.

If this function is disabled, this may affect the paper sizes used if you print via AirPrint from an iOS device.
