Solution

Insert the battery
Insert the card 
  • With the card’s label facing toward the back of the camera, insert it into the card slot
Attach the lens 
  • Align the lens’s white or red mount index with the camera’s mount index of the same color to attach the lens.
Set the lens’s focus mode switch to <AF>
Set the power switch to <ON>.
  • When the LCD monitor displays the date/time/zone setting screen,
Set the Mode Dial to  (Scene Intelligent Auto)
  • All the necessary camera settings will be set automatically.
Focus on the subject 
  • Look through the viewfinder and aim the viewfinder center over the subject.
  • Press the shutter button halfway, and the camera will focus on the subject.
  • If necessary, the built-in flash will be raised.
Take the picture 
  • Press the shutter button completely to take the picture.
Review the picture.
  • The captured image will be displayed for approx. 2 sec. on the LCD monitor.
  • To display the image again, press the button
  • To shoot while looking at the LCD monitor, see “Live View Shooting”
  • To view the images captured so far, see “Image Playback”
  • To delete an image, see “Erasing Images”
