Make sure the Cassette tray is properly set and Paper Output Tray Extended (Code 1259)

Description

1259 error occurs after handling a paper jam

Solution

A "1259" error may occur if the the cassette is not set properly and the paper output tray is pushed in too far when trying to clear the paper jam.
Try the following if this occurs.

  1. Pull out the cassette from the printer.

  2. Remove the cassette cover

  3. To load A4 or Letter-sized paper in the cassette, press down the lock   on the cassette, then extend the cassette.

  4. Load paper printing side down in the cassette and replace the cassette in the printer

  5. Check to make sure the paper output tray is not pushed in too far, or, pull out (extend) the paper output tray manually
