Where to Load Original Items for Copying or Scanning

The printer has two positions to load originals: platen (scanner glass) and ADF (Auto Document Feeder).

Select the position to load the original according to the size, type, or usage.

 Learn about the supported original items you can load on the platen or in the ADF.

 

Loading Documents, Photos, or Book on Platen

Load items face down on the platen (scanner glass)

 

Loading Two or More Sheets of Document of the Same Size and Thickness in the ADF

You can also load a sheet of document in the ADF.

Load documents face up in the ADF (Auto Document Feeder)

 To scan the original at optimum quality, load it on the platen.
