Changing the toner saver settings from a Windows computer (D1300 series)

Solution

1. Click [] (Start) -> [Devices and Printers].

NOTE
  • For Windows Vista, click [] (Start) -> [Control Panel] -> [Printers].
  • For Windows XP Professional/Server 2003, click [Start] -> [Printers and Faxes].
  • For Windows XP Home Edition, click [Start] -> [Control Panel] -> [Printers and Other Hardware] -> [Printers and Faxes].
  • For Windows 2000, click [Start] -> [Settings] -> [Printers].
  • For Windows Server 2008, on the [Start] menu, click [Control Panel] -> [Printers].
  • For Windows 7/Server 2008 R2, click [](Start)->[Devices and Printers]
  • For Windows 8/Server2012, right click the lower-left corner of the screen and select [Control Panel] -> [View devices and printers]

2. Right-click the icon of the printer whose settings you want to specify -> click [Printing preferences].

3. Click the [Quality] tab, then click [Advanced Settings].

 

4. Click on [Toner Save], then in the drop down select one of the following options, then click OK.

  • Printer Default - This setting uses the toner saver setting on the machine for copies and faxes.
  • On
  • Off (Default Setting)

5. Click [Apply] and then [OK] to save the setting.
