Description
the two rollers (feed roller and retard roller) installed in the scanner are consumable parts The feed roller and retard roller wear with scanning. If the feed roller and retard roller are worn, documents may not feed correctly and paper jams and double feeds may occur. When the total number of pages fed by the scanner exceeds the number of pages for the service life of the rollers, a message prompting you to replace the rollers is displayed when the computer is started.
if this message begins to be displayed at startup, purchase an exchange roller kit and replace the worn parts with the consumable parts included in the kit (feed roller and retard roller).
Furthermore, the counter in the scanner that records the number of pages fed also needs to be reset when you replace the rollers.
If you click the CaptureOnTouch Lite icon on the taskbar and then click [Environmental settings] from the menu, the [Environmental settings] dialog box appears.
In the [Environmental settings] dialog box, you can configure settings related to CaptureOnTouch Lite operations and perform scanner maintenance.
Maintenance
View the total number of pages scanned with the scanner, and view counters for the feed roller and retard roller. When you replace the feed roller and retard roller, you can reset the counter here. Initialize
Return all settings to their default condition.
Open the [Environmental settings] dialog box to configure settings related to CaptureOnTouch Lite operations.
Start CaptureOnTouch Lite.
If CaptureOnTouch Lite does not start, double-click [CaptureOnTouch Lite Launcher] in the [CaptureOnTouch Lite for Mac] folder.
If you closed the main window after starting CaptureOnTouch Lite, open it again from the menu bar.
Click [Preferences] in the [CaptureOnTouch Lite] menu.
The [Environmental settings] dialog box appears.
