If the printer is not detected during wireless setup, check the LAN settings. In some cases, depending on the network environment, an IP address has not been assigned even though the wireless connection is active .
If the Connection is "Active" but there is no IP Address listed (even though DHCP** is enabled on the router), try disabling the IPv6 and DRX settings* to see if it resolves the issue.
**If not sure, check with your router manufacturer.
Print out the settings
Important This printout contains valuable information about your computer. Handle it with care.
Make sure that the machine is turned on.
Load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper.
Press the Setup button.
The Setup menu screen is displayed.

button to select Device settings, then press the OK button.
Use the ![LEFT](/library/attachments/embedded/12823_image_7.gif)
button to select LAN settings, then press the OK button.
Use the ![LEFT](/library/attachments/embedded/12823_image_7.gif)
button to select Print LAN details, then press the OK button.
The machine starts printing the network setting information.
*Disable the DRX Setting
If this setting is enabled, you should
disable it.
From the LAN Settings menu:
- Use the

button to select Other settings, then press the OK button
- Use the
![LEFT](/library/attachments/embedded/12823_image_7.gif)
button to select DRX setting, then press the OK button.
- Use the
![LEFT](/library/attachments/embedded/12823_image_7.gif)
button to select Inactive, then press the OK button. This will return you to Other Settings menu.
*Disable the IPv6 Setting
If this setting is enabled, you should disable it.
From the LAN Settings menu:
- Use the

button to select TCP/IP settings, then press the OK button.
- Use the

button to select IPv6, then press the OK button.
- The message [LAN communication may be disabled Press [OK] to continue] will scroll across the display. Press the OK button.
- Use the

button to select Enable/disable IPv6, then press the OK button
- Use the
![LEFT](/library/attachments/embedded/12823_image_7.gif)
button to select Inactive, then press the OK button.
Press the Setup button to return to the main setup menu.
