You can make a copy lighter or darker by adjusting the copy intensity on the printer. Follow these steps to adjust the copy intensity.

1. Turn on the printer.  It will be in COPY mode when it is turned on.  If your printer is already on, press the COPY  button.

2. On the COPY scree, press the Menu  button.

3. Press the right arrow button until Copy intensity appears on the LCD.

   

   Press OK.

4. Use the left or right arrows to select Manual adjust.

   

   Press OK.

5. Use the left or right arrows to adjust the intensity as desired.

   

   Press OK.

6. After adjusting the copy intensity as desired, use the left or right arrows to adjust any other options as desired (Special copy, Enlarge/Reduce, Page size, Media type, Image quality, Collate).  Press OK and adjust those options as desired.  Press Back  button after adjusting the other settings as needed.

If you do not want to adjust additional copy options after you have adjusted the intensity, press the Back  button after completing step 5.

Press the Black or Color start button to make a copy.

 Note

• If you press the COPY  button after adjusting the copy intensity in step 5, the adjustments that you made will be lost (the copy intensity will be reset to the default).  You will need to walk through steps 1-5 again.
