If the scanning operation slows down or stops temporarily and the message "Adjusting the scanner ..." is displayed on the LCD or computer try one or more of the following:

1. Keep scanning as is.  The scanning operation will complete, however, there may be some additional pausing during scanning.
    
2. Stop the scanning operation, then wait 10 minutes or longer and try again.
    
3. Decrease the scanning resolution.
    
4. Change the scanning mode from Color to Black & White (Press the Black button to start scanning).
