Description

Duplex printing in Windows (MP130).

Solution

Set Duplex Printing (Windows)

You can print on sides of a sheet of paper.
When using thin paper, such as plain paper, the text on the reverse side of the paper may be visible. In such a case, select Draft in Print Quality.
If you wish to bind pages printed on sides into a booklet, use booklet printing instead.

  1. Load paper in the printer.

    Note:
Use plain paper, Photo Paper Plus Double Sided.

  2. Open the 'Printer Properties' or 'Printing Preferences' dialog box.

Note:  Properties may be indicated as Advanced, depending on the application software.

  3. Specify the paper loaded in the machine from 'Media Type' on the Main tab.

  4. Click the Page Setup tab.

  5.  In the Printing Type section, select 'Normal-size Printing', 'Fit-to-Page Printing', 'Scaled Printing', or 'Page Layout Printing'.

  6. Select 'Duplex Printing'.

Note:  When a media type other than Plain Paper, Photo Paper Plus Double Sided, or Postcard is selected in the Media Type menu, duplex printing cannot be performed.

  7. When the setting is completed, click the OK button at the bottom of the window.

  8. In the Print dialog box, click 'Print' or 'OK'.

The front sides will be printed and when printing of all the front sides is completed, a dialog box will open informing you that printing on the reverse side is about to begin.

  9. Follow the on-screen instructions to turn the paper over and reload it in the machine.

Depending on the relationship between Staple side and Orientation, the procedure for turning the paper over will differ. Follow the on-screen instructions for turning the paper over.

Before turning the page over, ensure that it has fully dried. Do not touch the printed side of the paper.

  10. Click 'OK'.

The reverse sides will be printed.

Load Paper

  1. Open the Paper Support (1), then pull out the Paper Support Extension (2). If you are loading legal-size paper, set the Attachment (3) to the Paper Support.

  2. Place a stack of paper (print side up) in the Auto Sheet Feeder (1), and pinch the Paper Guide (A) and adjust it to the left side of the stack (2).

IMPORTANT: Make sure the stack does not exceed the Paper Limit Mark (B).
