On this camera, you can select [ ![](/library/attachments/CanonUSA/TroubleshootingContents/Images/Global/G0199684.gif) : Fine ] or [ ![](/library/attachments/CanonUSA/TroubleshootingContents/Images/Global/G0133773.gif) : Super Fine ] for the compression ratio regardless of the recording pixel setting (size).
REFERENCE
[ ![](/library/attachments/CanonUSA/TroubleshootingContents/Images/Global/G0214416.gif) ] and [ ![](/library/attachments/CanonUSA/TroubleshootingContents/Images/Global/G0214417.gif) ] indicate different levels of image quality depending on the extent of compression. At the same size (number of pixels), [ ![](/library/attachments/CanonUSA/TroubleshootingContents/Images/Global/G0214416.gif) ] offers higher image quality. Although [ ![](/library/attachments/CanonUSA/TroubleshootingContents/Images/Global/G0214417.gif) ] images have slightly lower image quality, more fit on a memory card.
- If the compression ratio cannot be changed, please refer to the procedures below.
