Enabling large image scans will allow you to scan images up to 50000 x 50000 pixels and 4.0 GB. Please note that doing this will require a significant amount of your computer's resources. Scans wlil take several minutes to complete.
Note that if this option is not selected, images up to 10208 pixels x 14032 pixels can be scanned.
Also, please note that when this option is enabled, you cannot select Send to an application, Send to a folder, Attach to e-mail or Start OCR in IJ Scan Utility.
To enable large image scans with your CanoScan 9000F Mark II, please follow these steps:
for OS X:
- From the Go menu of Finder, open the Applications folder.
- Open the Canon Utilities folder.
- Open the IJ Scan Utility folder and double click on the IJ Scan Utility to open that program.
- Click on the Settings button in the lower right hand corner.
- In the list on the left, click on ScanGear at the bottom.
- On the right, click the box next to Enable large image scans.
- Click OK.
Back on the main page of the IJ Scan Utility, click the ScanGear button to scan.
for Windows:
- Start IJ Scan Utility by following these steps, depending on the version of Windows installed on your PC:
Windows 10:
From the Start menu, select All apps > Canon Utilities > IJ Scan Utility.
Windows 8.1 / 8:
Select IJ Scan Utility on the Start screen.
If IJ Scan Utility is not displayed on the Start screen, select the Search charm, and then search for "IJ Scan Utility".
Windows 7 / Vista / XP:
From Start menu, select All Programs > Canon Utilities > IJ Scan Utility > IJ Scan Utility.
- Click on the Settings button in the lower right hand corner.
- In the list on the left, click on ScanGear at the bottom.
- On the right, click the box next to Enable large image scans.
- Click OK.
Back on the main page of the IJ Scan Utility, click the ScanGear button to scan.
