Changing the Man/Auto Switch on the fax machine.

Solution

Manual/Auto Switch

By default, Manual/Auto Switch is set OFF. If it was set ON and you want to change this setting or if you want to increase the time before the fax answers, follow these steps.

  1. Make sure that the machine is turned on.

  2. Press the FAX button.
    The Fax standby screen is displayed.

  3. Press the center Function button.

    The Function buttons (B) are located below the printer's display.

     

    The Receive mode settings screen is displayed.

  4. Use the UP button to select TEL priority mode

  5. Press the right Function button, located under the Advanced label.

     


  6. Use the DOWN button to select Manual/auto switch, then press the OK button.

  7. Use the UPDOWN button to select ON, then press the OK button.

  8. Use the UPDOWN button to specify the RX start time (the length of time until automatic reception is started (01 - 60 seconds)).

  9. Press the OK button.

  10. Press the FAX button to return to standby mode.
