Description

Follow these steps to connect your scanner to your conmputer properly.

Solution

Turn OFF the Auto Start switch on the rear of the scanner, and use the supplied USB cable to connect the scanner to the computer.

•Take care not to disconnect the USB cable while data is being transferred between the scanner and computer during scanning.
•The USB connector to which the scanner is connected on your computer must be one capable of supplying 500 mA of power.•Do not connect the scanner to the computer before installing the software.

When connected to a USB port that supports USB 3.0, the scanner operates on 900 mA bus power and is capable of high-speed scanning. Using the power supply cable in such cases will not increase the scanning speed.
Although this scanner supports USB 3.0 bus power, USB data transfer rates remain at USB 2.0 speeds.

Using a USB Hub
The scanner cannot be used when it is connected to a computer via a bus-powered USB hub. A self-powered USB hub can be used, but operation is not guaranteed.
