Wireless Setup - Windows** Computers
**Instructions in this article are for setup on a Windows computer. If setting up on a Mac, click here for instructions
To be able to use the printer to print or scan wirelessly on a Windows computer, the printer must first be connected to the wireless network and drivers must be installed on the computer. The instructions / screenshots below show the setup program steps when using the "Easy Wireless Connect" method to connect to the wireless network.
The setup process consists of 2 parts:
Starting Easy Wireless Connect on the printer, and
Downloading and running the setup file to install the drivers and software.
Start Easy Wireless Connect on the printer.
Prior to starting setup on the computer, start Easy Wireless Connect on the printer. Then complete the setup on the computer.
Press and hold the button on the printer's operation panel.
When the following screen is displayed, complete the setup on your computer.
Download and run the setup file
The setup file can be downloaded from here. If you are asked to run or save the file, save it to your computer.
Run the setup file and select Start Setup.
Read the network security notice and select Next.
The installer will acquire information on the latest drivers and software for the printer. This may take a few minutes.
Read the license agreement. Select Yes to continue. If you select No, the installation will not continue.
Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the information request.
This message appears if you selected Do not agree. Select OK to proceed.
Thr installer will process for a few moments.
Select Yes to confirm the connection method.
The wireless network information will be sent to the printer.
Connection is completed, select Next.
If your printer is not detected, make sure that the computer has reconnected to the correct network. Also, you may need to temporarily disable any firewall software, or you may need to open blocked ports in the firewall. If your PC is connected to a VPN (Virtual Private Network), temporarily disconnect from the VPN and try the setup again. The driver will be downloaded and installed on to the computer. This may take several minutes.
After the installation has finished, select Next.
If you wish to download and install any additional software, select Continue online.
