- Remove the controller by sliding the release switch on the bottom of the camera in the direction of the arrow. Slide the controller in reverse direction.
- The red light under the flash starts blinking indicating that the controller is detached from the camera ( blinks only with main switch set to "A
- To replace the controller, slide it in the direction of the arrow and make sure it locks in with a click
- The controllers circuitry requires that a picture be taken within eight minutes after being detached from the camera. After this period, replace the controller and remove it again

Place the camera on a steady surface such as a table or use a tripod
Put the AF frame over the subject and press the shutter button halfway. Focus is locked for eight minutes. After pressing the shutter button halfway do not change the distance between the camera and the subject.
Set the release timing selector to or 2 and aim the controller directly toward the front of the camera mot more than 16.4ft away
Press the control button to take a picture
: the picture is taken immediately when the control button is press
2: the picture is taken after a two second delay
