When you want natural-looking pictures of sunsets or night scenes without flash or when shooting stage or other photography where flash is not allowed you can disable the flash as follows:
While pressing the "flash off" button on the bottom of the camera, look into the viewfinder pressing the shutter button halfway and check that the green lamp (in-focus indicator) lights up
If the green lamp does not blink, still pressing the "flash off" button, press the shutter button all the way to shoot.
- Be sure to press the "flash off" button before pressing the shutter button and keep it pressed until the shutter is released.
- When you want continuous disabled flash photography, keep the "flash off" button pressed
- When the red mark (camera shake warning) in the viewfinder blinks during disabled flash photography be careful to shoot holding the camera steady to avoid camera shake
