Cannot Communicate with Scanner
One or more of the following should resolve the issue you are experiencing:
- Download and install the latest version of IS Scan from www.canontechsupport.com.
Note: Test the IS Scanner Cartridge after installing the latest IS Scan driver. If the IS Scanner Cartridge scans, there is no need to make any additional changes.
- Make sure you have the IS Scanner Cartridge installed properly in the printer before starting IS Scan.
- For parallel users, make sure your parallel port mode is set for ECP in your computer's BIOS. You may need to contact your computer manufacturer's technical support for assistance.
- For parallel users, make sure you are using an IEEE-1284 Bi-directional printer cable, 6 feet or less in length.
