Your MAXIFY printer has an administrator password to prevent unauthorized users from making changes to various settings.

If you have the iB4020 model, the default password is canon.

If you have the iB4120 model, the default password is the printer serial number.
You can reset all of the printer's settings at any time. When you do, the administrator password goes back to the default.
Change the default administrator password.
- Press the Setup
button on the printer panel. The Setup menu appears.

- Press the right arrow until Device settings appears, then press OK.

- Press the right arrow until Reset setting appears, then press OK.

- Press the right arrow until All data appears, then press OK..

- Press the left arrow to select Yes, then press OK.

If you reset all of the settings in order to reset the administrator password, you will need to reconfigure the LAN settings (whether the printer was connected to a wired or wireless network).
