Scanned colors are streaked or inaccurate
Perform White Level calibration
If colors are not scanning correctly, you may need to perform a white level calibration.
A white level calibration is required the first time you use IS Scan. You may also need to perform a white level calibration manually on other occasions:
1. Before you scan a document that needs extremely accurate color reproduction.
2. If you see that the color reproduction in a scanned image is not accurate.
3. If you see that that colors in the scanned image are uneven.
Follow these steps to manually perform a white level calibration (instructions are based on the latest version of the IS Scan driver):
1. Start the IS Scan application from the Programs menu.
2. Click the Capture Image icon.
3. Click the Custom button.
4. Click the White Level button.
5. Load the white calibration sheet into the printer s sheet feeder (as if you were going to print on it) with the cut corner in the upper left position.
6. Click OK.
7. The White Level calibration is completed when the calibration sheet is ejected from the printer.
