Description
It is quite possible that when the driver or CaptureOnTouch software was installed, one of the permissions was not set properly. To correct this, follow the steps below:
Solution
You would access these locations by going into System Preferences --> Security & Privacy ---> Privacy. Under the Privacy Tab check these two locations on the left-side Files and Folder and Automation.
As you will see in the screenshots. See if CaptureOnTouch is listed. If it is the item branching off from it should be checked. If they are not checked, then check them. Restart the computer and try scanning again. Also ensure Full Disc Access is also allowed.
If you are still getting the "Cannot load driver" error, please try moving the USB cable, on the computer, to a different port and try again.
