Follow these steps to perform a print head cleaning with any of the BJC-2000 series printers:
- Plug the printer in the wall outlet to ensure power is on.
- You can execute a print head cleaning by holding the <RESUME> (purple) button, on the top of the printer, down until the printer starts to move (about 3 seconds). The printer will cycle for a few seconds.
- Perform a self-test to see if the cleanings helped.
To perform a self-test with any of the BJC-2000 series printers, please follow the below instructions.
- Plug the printer in the wall outlet to ensure power is on.
- Load sheets of plain paper into the sheet feeder.
- Press the <RESUME> (purple) button twice, quickly.
- The printer should print a small grid (nozzle test) if it is operating correctly.
A BC-21e and BC-22e should give colored results compared to using a BC-20 print head which gives all black printing.
- If the nozzle test does not print correctly, and you have already changed your ink tanks, you may need to perform two to four more cleanings.
