Communication with the printer failed
The following message appears when attempting to print: "Communication with the printer failed"
There are several possible causes for this message to appear. Perform each step until the message has been cleared.
- Connect the MultiPASS directly to the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port on the computer. Do not connect the MultiPASS to your computer's keyboard or through a bus-powered hub. (Bus-powered hub is one that is powered by the USB itself as opposed to an outside power source)
- The printer may be busy. Wait momentarily until the printer has completed printing, scanning, or faxing.
- (Mac Only) In the Extensions folder, confirm that IWPrintClassDriver, ContentionLib, and the MultiPASS Printer Driver Extensions are enabled.
