Calibrate the MP750 / MP780 scanner.

Calibration

If the color tone of copies or scans of photos (or faxes sent - MP780 only) differs from that of the original, you can use the calibration function to adjust the color tone printed. Calibration can be performed on the operator panel or from the scan driver.

Calibrating the scanner on the operator panel

  1. Press <Menu> repeatedly until [MAINTENANCE] appears.

  2. Press [<] or [>] to select [CALIBRATION].

  3. Press <OK>.



    The machine starts calibrating.
    When calibrating completes, the machine switches to the standby mode.

CAUTION:
Do not open the document cover during calibration.

Calibrating the scanner from the scanner driver

  1. In the application, select the command to scan a document ('Import', 'Acquire image', etc.).

  2. Select 'Canon MP750' or 'Canon MP780' as appropriate.

  3. When ScanGear MP window appears, confirm Advanced Mode tab is selected.



  4. Within section Image Settings, use the scroll bar to to find and click 'Execute' beside Calibration.



  5. The display will show [CALIBRATING...].
    When calibrating completes, the machine switches to the standby mode.

CAUTION:
* Do not open the document cover during calibration.

* You cannot select Execute at Every Scan.
