If the print results are still not satisfactory after the print head adjustment as described above, adjust the print head position manually from the computer.
Select Custom Settings on the Maintenance tab to open the Custom Settings dialog box.
Check the Align heads manually check box.
Select OK and when the confirmation message appears, select OK.
Select Print Head Alignment on the Maintenance tab to open the Start Print Head Alignment dialog box.
Load paper in the machine. Load three sheets of A4 size or Letter size plain paper into the front tray.
Make sure that the machine is on and select Align Print Head, follow the instruction in the message.
Enter the numbers of the patterns with the least amount of streaks in the associated boxes.
Enter all the necessary values, and select OK.
If it's difficult to pick the best pattern, pick the setting has the least noticeable vertical white streaks.
(A) Less noticeable vertical white streaks
(B) More noticeable vertical white streaks
If it's difficult to pick the best pattern, pick the setting that has the least noticeable horizontal white streaks.
(A) Less noticeable horizontal white streaks
(B) More noticeable horizontal white streaks
Confirm the message that displays and select OK. The second pattern will print.
Enter the numbers of the patterns with the least amount of streaks in the associated boxes.
Even if the patterns with the least amount of streaks are displayed in the preview window, the numbers are automatically entered in the associated boxes.
Enter all the necessary values, and select OK.
If it's difficult to pick the best pattern, pick the setting that has the least noticeable vertical white streaks.
(A) Less noticeable vertical white streaks
(B) More noticeable vertical white streaks
Confirm the message that displays and select OK. The third pattern will print.
Check the printed pattern.
Enter the numbers of the patterns with the least noticeable horizontal stripes in the associated boxes.
Even if the patterns with the least noticeable horizontal stripes display in the preview window, their numbers are automatically entered in the associated boxes.
Enter all the necessary values, and select OK.
If it's difficult to pick the best pattern, pick the setting that has the least noticeable horizontal stripes.
(A) Less noticeable horizontal stripes
(B) More noticeable horizontal stripes
To print and check the current setting, open the Start Print Head Alignment dialog box, and select Print Alignment Value.
Make sure that the machine is on and select Align Print Head.
Enter the numbers of the patterns with the least amount of streaks in the associated boxes.
Enter all the necessary values, and select OK.
If it's difficult to pick the best pattern, pick the setting has the least noticeable vertical white streaks.

After head alignment is completed, you can print and check the current setting.To do so, select the Print Head Alignment icon and when the message is displayed, select Print Alignment Value.
