Solution
Scanning multiple items using CanoScan Toolbox (LiDE 25, 60, 500F)
- Place multiple items on the scanner glass.
- Start CanoScan Toolbox.
- Click the 'Scan' button.
- Select 'Color [Multi-Scan]' from the Scan mode pull-down menu.
Click here for information on positioning the items to be scanned.
- Click 'Scan'. The items will be saved separately.
Check the position of the photos on the document glass. Observe the following when using the Multi-Scan or Multi-crop function. |
- Leave at least 1 cm (1/2 in.) between items.
- Leave at least 2 cm (1 in.) between the items and the document glass's back edge.
- A maximum of 10 items can be scanned at once.
- If an item is slightly crooked on the document glass of the scanner within 10 degrees of true, the image is automatically straightened.

The auto detection of item edges may not work correctly for items that are white overall or that have white borders. |

Items other than photos may not be properly detected, especially printed items with white backgrounds, handwritten items or business cards. |

Do not open the scanner's document cover while it is scanning. You can tell that scanning is finished when the scanning progress dialogs disappear. |

If the Multi Scan function is used with an application program that can not receive multiple images, the scanned images are passed to the application as a single, composite image. |

Items that are not rectangular (or square) may not be correctly detected (such as irregularly shaped cutouts). |

If the Recommended or Color Matching option is selected in the Color Settings Tab of the "Advanced Mode/Preferences Dialog", Auto Tone adjustment is performed for each image individually. |
