Definition of Parallax

Solution

Parallax

DEFINITION:

A deviation between an image photographed on film through a lens and the object as seen through the viewfinder.

DESCRIPTION:

Except for a single-lens reflex camera, the position of the viewfinder differs from that of the photo lens, and the angle of view changes, which causes parallax. The shorter the distance to the object, the greater the increase of parallax. For this reason, when taking a close-up picture, compensation is necessary. For compensation, the viewfinder frame is moved under an interlock motion, with distance from the object or the range of deviation displayed on the viewfinder in the form of a frame.
