Shooting Close-ups (Macro)
You can shoot an object at a close distance or even shoot extreme close-ups of it. The shooting range is approximately - 50 cm (2.0 in. - 1.6 ft.) from the end of the lens (when the zoom lever is pushed to wide angle).
1. Press the
button which will bring up the following screen.

2. Use the ![](/library/attachments/ServiceWareImages/LDImages/SolutionAnswer/PowerShot_A75/direction_arrow_lt.gif)
buttons or the <Control Dial> to choose
, then press the <FUNC./SET> button.
3. Once set the
(Macro) icon will appear.
- It is recommended to attach the camera to a tripod to prevent the camera from moving and blurring the image.
- You can reduce the AF frame size when you want to focus on a specific portion of the subject.
- The edges of the image may darken if the flash fires.
