How to turn off the image stabilizer Optura Xi
Solution
-
Image Stabilizer
Canon' s optical image stabilizer allows you to obtain steady recordings even at telephoto. Unlike electronic image stabilizers, it causes no loss in picture quality. There is no need to turn off the image stabilizer during normal recording. However, the camcorder tries to compensate for horizontal movements and you may therefore decide to turn it off during panning. The image stabilizer cannot be turned off in the Easy Recording mode.
To turn off the image stabilizer:
- Press the <MENU> button to open the menu.
- Select [CAMERA SETUP] and press the Selector dial.
- Select [
IMAGE S. ], and press the Selector dial.
- Set it to [OFF], and press the Selector dial.
- Press the <MENU> button to close the menu.
"" disappears.
- The image stabilizer cannot be turned off when the program selector is set to Easy.
- The image stabilizer is designed to compensate a normal degree of camcorder shake.
- This function can be assigned to the CSTM KEY.
- We recommend turning off the image stabilizer when you mount the camcorder on a tripod.
