Resolve Alarm Lamp Flash Errors - PIXMA PRO-1

Solution
When a printer error occurs, the Alarm lamp flashes orange as shown below. The number of flashes indicates the type of error that has occurred. Count the flashes and see the table below to take the appropriate action to correct the error.
If the Power Lamp and Alarm Lamp flashes alternately, see the instructions below.

A printer problem has occurred.

Disconnect the printer cable from the printer, turn the printer off, and then unplug the printer from the power supply.

Plug the printer back in and turn the printer back on.
If a message about the protective material appears on the computer screen, it's possible that the protective material for the print head holder remains attached. Turn the printer off, then check the inside of the printer. If the protective material remains attached, remove it and turn the printer back on.

Two (2) |
Printer is out of paper. Paper does not feed. Disc tray is not in place. Printable disc is not placed on the disc tray. |

Three (3) |
Paper output tray is closed. Feed slot cover is opened. Manual feed tray is in the paper jam clearing position. Paper jams. Paper is loaded in the manual feed tray. |
If the error still remains, the paper may be jammed. Remove the jammed paper, reload the paper, then tap RESUME/CANCEL on the printer. |
Four (4) |
The ink tank is not installed or not installed properly. Ink may have run out. |
If you want to continue to print, tap RESUME/CANCEL. If the ink runs out, the print job will be interrupted and the paper will be ejected. If multiple ink lamps are flashing, refer to check the ink status and confirm the status of each ink tank. |
Five (5) |
Print head is not installed. Joint lever is not closed properly. Print head is defective. |

Six (6) |
The inner cover is opened. Inner cover is closed. |
The inner cover may not present depending on country or region of your purchase. |
Seven (7) |
Ink tank is not installed in the correct position. |
Confirm that the ink tanks are installed in the appropriate positions. |
Eight (8) |
Ink absorber is almost full. |

Nine (9) |
The printer has not received a response from the digital camera. The digital camera or camcorder is not compatible with this printer. |

Ten (10) |
Paper output tray is in the paper jam clearing position. |
|
Eleven (11) |
Automatic Print Head Alignment failed. The Page Size setting does not match the size loaded in the printer. |
If the problem continues, tap RESUME/CANCEL to dismiss the error, and perform a manual print head alignment.
Select the Detect paper width check box again once printing is complete, then select Apply. |
Twelve (12) |
Tank cover is opened. Cannot open the tank cover. |

Thirteen (13) |
Ink level can't be detected. |
With this operation, releasing the system cleaning function is memorized. If you release this function, unwanted lines may appear or ink ejection may stop. If you print under this condition it may damage the print head. Please be advised that Canon shall not be liable for any malfunction or trouble caused by release of the system cleaning function or refilled ink tanks. If the system cleaning function is disabled, the ink levels can't display correctly on the printer status monitor. |
Fourteen (14) |
Ink tank cannot be recognized. |

Ink tank cannot be recognized. |

Sixteen (16) |
Ink has run out. |

Seventeen (17) |
System cleaning cannot be performed. |
