Printing from a cell phone to the DS700
In order to use infrared communication, a cell phone must satisfy the following requirements:
- Compatible cell phone: A cell phone which has an IrDA 1.2 port and supports IrMC ver. 1.1
- Printable contents: Images (JPEG only)
1. Confirm that the printer is powered on, and open the paper support.
2. Set paper in the auto sheet feeder.
Note: The default settings are printing borderless on the loaded paper size, with Date print Off and Photo Paper Plus Glossy as the Media type. The paper type, paper size, and layout settings can be changed in Infrared print, in the Tool Box.
3. Select an image to print from the cell phone.
4. Set the infrared port of the cell phone to face that of the printer, at a distance of less than 20 cm (7.9 in.).
Note: The effective angle of the printer's infrared port is about 10 degrees from the central axis in vertical and horizontal directions

<3> Within an effective distance of 20 cm (7.9 in.), with no obstacles
<4> Effective angle (10 degrees from the central axis in vertical and horizontal directions)
Note: Remove any obstacles between the infrared ports of the printer and the cell phone, as data transmissions will be interrupted. Align and stabilize the infrared ports of the printer and the cell phone to maintain a solid connection.
5. Send data from the cell phone to the printer.
When the printer receives the data correctly, the Power lamp will blink in green.
Note: For details on cell phone operation, see the User Guide for the cell phone.
6. When transmission from the cell phone is completed, printing will start.
7. When performing infrared communication printing, the longer side of a received picture/image will be printed lengthwise, and the shorter side printed crosswise.
