Learn how to enter numbers, letters, and symbols using the numeric keypad on your PIXMA TR4520.
Solution
The following video explains the process detailed below.
You can use the printer keypad to enter or edit various information such as passwords, names, number of copies, etc. Refer to the tables below for more information.

Tone
Changes the input mode between uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers
Press the Tone key at the upper right of the LCD (screen) until the input mode you want appears.
Tone is pressed until the :a (lowercase) changes to :A (capital).
Tone is pressed until the :A (uppercase) changes to :1
Pound / hashtag
Adds a space
Inserts a pause if needed (for example if using a calling card) when sending a fax
Press the Pound / Hashtag key 5 times to insert a space.
Left / right arrow
Edits a character
Press the left / right arrow key to move the cursor under the character you want to edit.
Move the cursor to the right of where you want to insert a new character.
The cursor has been moved under the "E", so it can be changed to a "e" (or some other character).
Back
Deletes a character
Move the cursor under the character to delete, then press the Back key.
If the Back key is pressed, the "C" will be deleted.
The keyboard options available for use will depend on the task you want to perform. For example, if you choose fax, you will see numbers.
