Description

If an incoming fax does not automatically print, enable Print When No Ink. This will force the printer to print any faxes in memory.

Solution

Changing the Print When No Ink Option

If the printer is low on ink, received faxes will go into memory and they will not automatically print. You can set the printer to automatically print incoming faxes even if the ink is low.

If the ink runs out while a fax is being printed, change the ink cartridge(s) and contact the party that sent you the fax.  Have them send you the fax again.  It is recommended that you change the cartridge(s) when the ink has run out.  Continuing to print incoming faxes or other documents with an empty ink cartridge may cause a service issue for your printer.

  1. Make sure that the machine is turned on.

  2. Press the Setup button.

The Setup menu screen is displayed.

  3. Use the LEFTRIGHT button to select Fax settings, then press the OK button.

  4. Use the LEFTRIGHT button to select Auto print settings, then press the OK button.

  5. Use the LEFTRIGHT button to select Print when no ink, then press the OK button.

  6. Use the LEFTRIGHT button to select Print or Do not print, then press the OK button.
