Recording Still Images - When you press the <PHOTO > button on the wireless controller, the still image is recorded immediately. Press the <PHOTO> button fully.
Playing the Disc on a Computer's DVD Drive - Refer also to the instruction manual and help modules of your DVD playback software. To view still images recorded on the disc: ... - Select the DVD drive with the File Manager software installed in your computer (for example "My Computer" in Windows operating systems, etc.) and select the still images you want to display (You can alternatively use your preferred Image Management software or any other software for cataloguing, browsing or editing digital images installed in your computer).
If images or videos have been mistakenly deleted from the computer and/or the camcorders hard drive or memory card, third party data recovery software or data recovery companies may be able to retrieve the videos and/or images . Canon does not bundle any type of data recovery software with our products. We would suggest contacting your computer or memory card manufacturers for possible suggestions and/or perform a web search for data/image recovery.
You can record more stable images if you use a tripod. Camcorder tripods with level gauges can accurately adjust horizontal level. If you will only be using it to stabilize the camcorder, even the mini tripods used for digital cameras will do.
Please be careful not to accidentally delete any folders with downloaded images that may be contained within the application folder. It is recommended that you save the image folder (create a backup) before uninstallation. Images downloaded to [ImageBrowser] are normally saved in [Go] > [Home] > [Pictures] on the [Menu bar].
The DVD video format is designed for direct playback rather than uploading to a computer for editing. Various third party software applications are available to assist in uploading your videos to your computer's hard drive for playback, but most video editing software packages do not currently have the ability to edit these files.
