CMS-XML Attempt to use data recovery software or contact a data recovery company.
If images or videos have been mistakenly deleted from the computer and/or the camcorders hard drive or memory card, third party data recovery software or data recovery companies may be able to retrieve the videos and/or images. Canon does not bundle any type of data recovery software with our products. We would suggest contacting your computer or memory card manufacturers for possible suggestions and/or perform a web search for data/image recovery.

Discs recorded in the VR mode do not need to be finalized. However, many standalone DVD players are unable to read discs recorded in VR mode. If your DVD player is unable to playback VR mode discs we would suggest using the camcorder as a playback device instead.
