To ensure reliable operation and data integrity the FS series camcorders cannot be powered off while they are actively connected to a computer. To turn the camcorder off please use the proper safe device removal procedures for your computers operating system and then disconnect the USB cable. Once the cable has been removed the camera will then be able to be powered off.

After pressing the button reinstall the battery or connect the camcorder to AC power and turn the camcorder on. After the camcorder powers on reset the date and time and resume use.

Can you use the Compact Power Adapter overseas?

You can connect the dedicated compact power adapter or battery charger to a power supply of between 100 and 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz. However, you need a plug adapter to use the camcorder in a country where the power plug shape is different from that of your own country. (Please note that depending on the region, the plug shape may be different even in the same country.)
