Inserting and Removing a Memory Card ZR600/700 You can use SD Memory Cards or commercially available MultiMediaCards with this camcorder. The SD Memory Card has a protect switch to prevent accidental erasure.
List of messages that appear on ZR400 ZR500 and ZR600/700 Replace or charge the battery pack. THE TAPE IS SET FOR ERASURE PREVENTION Cassette is protected . Replace the cassette or change the position of the protect switch.

Recording Movies on a Memory Card ZR600/700 When you are using a SD Memory Card, make sure that the protect switch is set to allow recording. Do not load/unload a cassette during recording.
When You Have Finished Recording The camcorder will shut off after 5 minutes when left in record pause mode to protect tape and video heads. AUTO POWER OFF appears 20 seconds before shutoff. To continue recording, turn the POWER switch to OFF and then back to CAMERA.
Transferring Video Recordings to and from a Computer Because procedures for digital editing software applications vary greatly, Canon cannot offer any additional support or suggestions regarding downloading and editing your video.
