*If only one LP- E 6 battery pack is installed in the Battery Grip BG - E 6, the battery information for the empty battery slot shows the error message , Cannot communicate with battery . However, with this firmware update, this error message no longer appears, even if only one LP-E6 battery pack is installed.

Attaching Batteries If a battery communication error message is displayed when a battery grip is attached, follow the instructions in the message. If the camera loses power, reinstall the battery magazine and restart the camera.

I am getting an Exx error message, what can I do? Occasionally, the error detected may be an isolated or intermittent instance. To check this, remove the battery for about 20 minutes, then reinsert the battery to see if the error code will reset. Also, since some error codes refer to the ability to read the information on the CF card, you may try a different CF card or reformat the CF card.

In the unlikely event that an error occurs during the firmware update, please remove the battery and stop the update procedure. Check the remaining battery level and the firmware on the card, and if there are no problems, start over the procedure from the beginning.
