AVCHD (Advanced Video Code High Definition) is a standard that uses coding technology with a high compression efficiency and enables high-definition videos to be recorded on various media, such as hard disks, DVD discs, and flash memory. HD video is composed of 1,080 horizontal lines - more than twice the number of pixels in a standard-definition TV broadcast - resulting in eye-catching colors and richly detailed video recordings. Also, sounds are usually recorded in Dolby Digital formats.
