The self-timer lamp will start blinking to indicate that the self-timer has started. The lamp blinks faster during the last two seconds before the picture is taken.

As long as the shutter speed is not blinking a correct exposure will be obtained If the shutter speed is slower than the reciprocal of the lens focal length (i.e. 1/200 for a 200mm lens) camera shake may cause a blurred picture .
